Beware of Scams!

We’ve all seen the commercials recently advertising that you can get a free roof because of hail damage and all you have to do is pay the deductible.  Don’t fall for it!  Insurance companies will evaluate the extent of damage and then make a payment based on the damage to your roof!  They will not automatically pay to replace the roof less the deductible as some of these commercials seem to be claiming.  By all means, if you were in the hail storms of this past spring, be sure to get your roof checked before Hurricane Season, but don’t expect a new roof unless the damage was substantial.
